@Tennis19, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If you've lost a folder on your HP PC and you've been using Windows File History for backups, you can restore it using the following steps:

Connect External Drive: Attach your external drive to the computer. Close any AutoPlay windows that might open.

Open Restore Settings: Search for and open "Restore your files with File History" on your PC.

Select Backup Point: Use the Previous and Next icons to find the backup point that has the folder you want to restore.

Select Files or Folders:

  • Click the folder to select it.
  • If you need to select multiple folders, hold the Ctrl key while clicking.
  • Right-click in an empty area of the File History window and click "Select All" if you need to restore all items.

Restore Files: Click the restore icon to bring the files back from the chosen backup point. Windows will restore the files to their original locations.

Restoring files

Following these steps should help recover your lost folders using File History, provided you have been backing up your files regularly with this feature.
