I bought a new SSD and i have a bootable usb. Im trying to install a new OS to the SSD that I've bought because my old HDD is dead. WHEN i insert my USB it doesn't even detected by the system. I tried enabling the legacy boot however when I enable it and save the screen went black no bios at all. In order to fix it, i will have to remove the cmos battery for 20 secs and insert it and it will boot.

Please help, i want to install a new OS and I can't because the legacy boot issue.

I removed the battery because the screen is blank or it is not turning. Removing the battery will reset the bios.

My issue is that when I stick my usb stick it is recognized but however when I enabled the legacy boot and save it. The screen went blank.

With a laptop, removing the CMOS battery accomplishes NOTHING -- so that is wasting your time.

You need to go back into your BIOS options and see if there is one that is disabling booting from mobile devices -- that would stop it from seeing the USB stick.
