Hi @vaneetjammu,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the integrated camera on your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 16-a0024tx is not visible in Device Manager after upgrading to Windows 11, it could be due to driver issues or certain settings being disabled. Here are steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

1. Check for Hidden Devices in Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager by pressing Windows + X and selecting Device Manager.
  • In Device Manager, click on the View tab and select Show hidden devices.
  • Check if the camera appears under Imaging Devices, Cameras, or Other Devices. If it does, right-click on it and select Enable device.

2. Update the Camera Driver

  • If the camera is visible, right-click it and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
  • If Windows cannot find an updated driver, visit the HP support website to check if there is a Windows 11 driver for your camera.

3. Check Privacy Settings

Windows 11 has privacy settings that may block apps from accessing the camera.

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
  • Ensure that the Camera access is turned on.
  • Also, check that apps you want to use with the camera (like Zoom or Microsoft Teams) are allowed access.

4. Run the Windows Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings and go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Find Camera and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix potential problems.

5. Install or Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

Sometimes, the camera is managed by the chipset or BIOS.

  • Go to the HP support website and search for your laptop model.
  • Download and install the latest BIOS and chipset drivers for Windows 11.

6. Re-enable the Camera in BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 (depending on your model) to enter the BIOS setup.
  • Look for an option related to the camera in the Advanced or Security tab.
  • Make sure the camera is enabled in BIOS. Save changes and exit.

7. Uninstall and Reinstall Camera Drivers

If the camera drivers are present but the camera isn’t working:

  • Open Device Manager and uninstall the camera driver (if visible).
  • Restart your laptop, and Windows will attempt to reinstall the camera driver automatically.

8. Reset Windows (Optional)

If none of the above methods work, resetting Windows could resolve software conflicts. Be sure to back up your data before proceeding:

  • Go to Settings > System > Recovery > Reset this PC.

Refer to this document: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 16-a0024tx User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
