I installed Ubuntu on my HP Stream Notebook, and want to reinstall Windows 11 on the laptop. I have a bootable Windows 11 Install Media USB, created using the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool on a different PC. The boot media works, but only recognises itself as a disk, and not my internal disk. I burned Ubuntu onto a seperate USB to format the internal drive as NTFS, but the Boot Media still wont recognise the disk. Using DISKPART, the disk isn't even listed.

If your notebook originally came with Windows from HP, the only suggestion I can offer would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will return the drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility.  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store.

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

Since you have to use the utility on another PC you will have to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed to make the recovery drive.

Your notebook should have a different product number than the one you posted which is for the general model series.

Check the BIOS' system information screen for another product number which will end in #ABU.

You will need to enter the full product number in the tool's search window, including the #ABU.
