HP ENVY Laptop 17-ae1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My dad was kind enough to give this laptop he had used very little is there a way to reset it or how do I go about changing the Administrator and all the info over to my name and account. Is it possible to do like a hard reset like when it was first turned on and setup by my dad or what would be the best way to do this.

Thanks Bob

Please try Cloud Recovery tool to put it back to Factory settings

Will this tool remove my dads information and remove him as administrator from the computer?

If you can login, you're going to a lot of trouble you don't need.

In that case, simply do the following:

1) Login to the PC (using your dad's info if needed).  Open Settings --> Accounts. Create your own account

Here's a thread on how to do that:  https://www.bing.com/search?q=how%20to%20create%20users%20in%20windows%2010%20site:microsoft.com&for...

Then, login to your own account and delete your dad's account.  All their settings will be deleted, as well.
