Key combinations are giving wrong result?

Hi,

I've recently purchased HP Pavilion 15-e007tu from an ecomerce store. I just found out that when I press 'shift+2' for typing '@' it's not coming but double quotation(") comes for the combination. The same way when I press 'shift+single quotation' combination, there appear '@' instead of double quotation.

The keys are working incorrectly, in place of another,  except this two the rest are working fine.

How do I solve this problm? Is that a small problem or a big one?

Thanks for all of your help!

Re: Key combinations are giving wrong result?

Yes, but the very same thing applies to a notebook with Windows installed.

Keyboards are mapped by languages and they can differ by a few keystrokes. An English UK selection differs from English US or International.

Re: Key combinations are giving wrong result?

Check to make certain that you have selected the correct linput language. Go to  Settings-->Language & Input. The language setting affects what happens with certain keystrokes.

Re: Key combinations are giving wrong result?

I'm sorry erico. It looks like my question was wrongly posted to the 'HP Tablet' section while my original intention was to find solution for my lapton I mentioned in the post.

Your answer is for the tablet right?
