My laptop HP OMEN 16 is not working and the service centre is not helping at all with my issue. Last month I’ve updated my windows drivers from settings and them it is auto-rebooting. From then my laptop doesn’t work. The service centre is not helping me with my issue.

Hi @VinayYadidiah,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I can understand how frustrating this is, especially when you’ve done everything right and the service center isn’t helping. Let’s break this down and get you a clear path forward.

After a major Windows update, issues like auto-reboot loops or complete failure to boot often occur due to:

  • Corrupted system files
  • Incompatible drivers
  • BIOS/UEFI conflicts

Since your HP OMEN 16 doesn’t work at all now, this is likely a firmware or motherboard-level issue triggered by the update.

Recovery Steps

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the charger and any peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and try powering on.

2. Try BIOS Recovery

  • Press Windows + B and the Power button together for 2–3 seconds.
  • If successful, the BIOS recovery screen will appear.

3. Access HP UEFI Diagnostics

  • If the laptop powers on briefly, press Esc repeatedly → F2.
  • Run System Tests (especially memory and hard drive).

4. Recover Windows

  • If you see the HP logo, press F11 to enter Recovery Environment.
  • Choose System Restore or Reset this PC.

5. Update BIOS & Drivers

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
