HP ENVY Laptop 13-ba1000 (1F4E1AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hp Envy 13 Notebook, purchased 13 months back only. Suddenly stopped working and screen showing nothing, Got in touch with customer care and they said whole motherboard needs to be changed, No reasons cited, said maybe overheating. Its just one month past warranty period. Also, customer care cited cost to be more than half of what laptop costed me.

Hello @AnkitS2

--- Solution A)

In your case: Service is required !
- The computer should be disassembled and checked.
- Thermal paste for CPU GPU and bridges must be renewed
- The function of the fan(s) must be checked

Short circuit test

- charger/battery test

- Components test

- General cleaning ...

HP warranty expired:

If you can't do that, you should have it <serviced> by a professional notebook (chip level) repair store.

--- Solution B)

Buy a new/used notebook

Good luck

Is it covered under the warranty, like servicing you mentioned and any major chip issue if found?

Hello @AnkitS2

The costs to change motherboard are simply too high ! Remove the internal hard drive and sell the notebook as a parts donor.

=> Buy a new/used notebook.

Good luck
