Just over a week ago my son's laptop was sent to HP for an out-of-warranty-repair where a few hardware componants were replaced.
We received it back today, but shortly after setting the laptop back up and answering the start-up questions, it has malfunctioned again.
After the laptop finished setting up it was fine for about 1 1/4 hours then it went wrong again.
The screen went black and small white squares started flashing on the screen randomly for 15 - 20 seconds then the screen went completely black.
The laptop will not boot up again. The power light comes on and the fans come on but the Hard Drive light is not lit and the screen remains blank.
These are the same symptoms we had for the repair it has just had.
How do I send the laptop back, as I was informed at the time of sending for repair that the repair would be guaranteed for 3 months.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
