Hi,
I assume your laptop is this HP Notebook - 15-f387wm (Touch) ??
Specs: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04936075
It came with Windows 10 64bit Home & 500gb HDD.
Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04763999
Hard drive had failed. You need to replace with new one of similar form factor.
I don't know if accidental damage would qualify for warranty repair. You should contact HP in your region with this failure ID and can try to get the hardware component replaced.

This is what you need if HP don't honour the warranty: 2.5 inch 7mm/9.5mm thigh SATA SSD. Get 32MB cache, 7200rpm drive - faster.

You can also upgrade HDD to 2.5 inch SATA SSD. Huge boost on performance, but costly.
http://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-850-evo-2-5-sata-iii-500gb...
Page 45-47 in manual: it needs major disassembly to reach the hard drive bay. Get help from certified HP technician or good local technician.
Use recovery USB/DVD you must have created after first setup of this laptop, to factory reset OS after replacement.
