Product: HP Laptop 14-dq2033ca

Hi. I recently, like 8 days ago, bought the HP Laptop 14-dq2033ca. I am having an issue with the battery for some reason! Whenever I close my laptop to let it rest and charge on its own for a while, it does not charge. At first, I thought it was out of my own carelessness by not plugging in the wire correctly, but nothing seemed to change as I supposedly corrected myself. The only way this laptop charge is if the laptop stays on (the home page) without any apps running. I am not sure as to what I can do. Everything I have searched had not helped. I had not been expecting this from a brand new laptop!
