HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ed0008ca

Lost my HP ENVY x360 Convertible Windows product key when I accidently wiped my hard drive partitions.

Looking to activate my Windows but no longer have my product code (key).

You have to install W11 Home which is what your notebook came with, and then use the product key to upgrade to W11 Pro.

I recommend you create the recovery media with the cloud recovery tool to reinstall W11 Home

See this link for how to upgrade from Home to Pro:

If the info I gave you doesn't resolve the problem then I suggest that you contact Microsoft support for activation help.

Your notebook's Windows product key is encrypted in the BIOS and not stored on the hard drive.

You do not need the product key to reinstall Windows.

Also your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which you can use to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will return the drive configuration to its 'out of the box' condition.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility. You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store:

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

Since you have to use the tool on another Windows PC as yours is not working, you will have to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window in order to proceed.

Your PC's product number is 9VT80UA#ABL
