HP notebook 15-1210ca born date sept 15 2015, AMD E1-6010 Processor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Computer was running fine, albeit a little slow. I ran windows 10 updates and it downloaded 4 updates not sure what they were, but they took quire a while to download. After updating, I selected install and restart,  computer would not reboot. After trying many things I finally decided to try and reinstall 10, in using the "repair my computer" option, I noticed that aside from a few MB my entire HDD was erased. Now I'm trying to do a clean install of win 10, I get past the language/time/location page and the custom install selection page, but after that windows will not load, says I might be missing a driver. So searching the web I come across a similar problem that says the Mass storage driver needs to be reinstalled, in looking at the HP driver download selection I cannot find mass a storage driver in the selection. Is it called something else?  Also there was a suggestion to re-flash the BIOS, I currently have version F.40 (1.12.0.0), but not sure if I can even flash it as I have forgotten my administrator password for the BIOS. I have also ran all the diagnostic tests - Memory, Drive and the long test for the disk, they all passed.

Am I going the wrong direction? I could use some quality help here.  Bear in mind I have no O/S on the notebook anymore. Thanks Tom
