Hi @THANGABHARATHI,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 15s-FC0154Au laptop’s microphone is not working after installing Windows 11 Professional, and you need it fixed urgently. Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot and resolve this.

1. Check Microphone Access & Privacy Settings

Press Windows + I → go to Privacy & Security → Microphone.

Make sure Microphone access is turned On.

Also ensure the app you want to use (Zoom, Teams, etc.) is allowed to access the microphone.

2. Set Correct Input Device

Right-click the sound icon in the taskbar → Sound settings → Input.

Make sure the built-in microphone is selected as the default device.

Test it by speaking — the Test your microphone bar should move.

3. Check Device Manager

Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Audio inputs and outputs.

Look for Microphone Array or similar.

If it has a yellow triangle, right-click → Update driver → Search automatically.

If it’s missing, click Action → Scan for hardware changes.

4. Install HP Audio Drivers

Go to HP Support → enter your laptop model → download the latest Realtek or Conexant audio drivers for Windows 11.

Install them and restart your laptop.

5. Run Windows Troubleshooter

Go to Settings → System → Troubleshoot → Other troubleshooters → Recording Audio → Run.

Follow the prompts; Windows can automatically fix some microphone issues.

6. Check Physical Hardware

Make sure nothing is blocking the mic hole near the keyboard or webcam.

Test with a headset mic if available; if that works, the internal mic may be faulty.

7. BIOS Check (if all else fails)

Restart your laptop → press Esc → F10 to enter BIOS.

Make sure Internal Microphone is enabled under Device Options.

I hope this helps.
