Issue:

- CMOS checksum error after Windows update.

- Battery stuck at 0%, laptop shuts down immediately when charger is unplugged.

- I want to know whether the battery is permanently dead or if there is any solution to recover it.

The REOOW error indicates that the battery is shorted, probably damaged and cannot be recovered. It is also reaching the end of its useful life due to charging cycles.
