Hi @thanoswithballs ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've accidentally uninstalled or lost drivers, including the Bluetooth driver, on your HP 255 G8 Notebook PC, here are the steps you can take to resolve the issue:

  1. Use HP Support Assistant:

    • HP Support Assistant can automatically find and install the latest updates for your PC, including missing drivers.
    • Open HP Support Assistant on your PC by typing "HP Support Assistant" in Windows search and launching the app.
    • Click on "Updates" and let the tool search for available updates. Install any updates related to Bluetooth and other drivers.
  2. HP's Official Website:

  3. Device Manager:

    • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager".
    • Look for "Bluetooth" in the list. If it's missing or under "Unknown devices", you might need to reinstall it.
    • Right-click on your device and select "Update driver".
    • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" to allow Windows to find and install the driver.
  4. Windows Update:

    • Go to "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update".
    • Click "Check for updates". Windows might find and install any missing drivers through updates.
  5. Restore System:

    • If you have a system restore point created before the drivers went missing, you can restore your computer to that point.
    • Type "Create a restore point" in the Windows search box and open the relevant system settings.
    • Click "System Restore" and follow the instructions to restore your system to a previous state where the drivers were intact.

Hope this helps resolve your issue.
