Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ever since I got my laptop the SD card slot hasn't worked with any of my cards. It won't even read a card reader, so I've been forced to review all my images on the camera alone, and I'm sick of it. How do I fix the SD card reader???

Are you sure you have a right card with right format ? it doesn't make any sense when machine can't read from both readers.

HP Recommended

The card is a Lexar multi-use SDHC 8GB card. When I insert it, nothing happens. No sound or anything like you would usually expect when a new device is attached.

And the card reader I tried to use was plugged into the USB port. I got a notification for this, but only saying that the device couldn't be recognized.
