@Sujit31, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" Error!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The "Boot Device Not Found (3F0)" error on your HP laptop indicates that the system is unable to locate the hard drive to boot the operating system. Here's a step-by-step guide to resolving this issue:

Step 1: Reseat the Hard Drive

  • Turn off your laptop and unplug it from the AC power source.
  • Remove the battery if it's detachable, or unplug the non-removable battery.
  • If possible, open your laptop's service door to access the hard drive.
  • Carefully remove the hard drive and then reseat it back into its slot.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and reassemble the laptop.

Step 2: Reset BIOS

  • Restart your laptop and immediately press "Esc" or "F10" repeatedly to enter the BIOS setup utility.
  • Navigate to the "Main" or "Advanced" tab using the arrow keys.
  • Select "Restore Defaults" and confirm with "Enter."
  • Save changes and exit BIOS setup.

Step 3: Perform a Hard Reset

  • Turn off the laptop and disconnect any peripheral devices.
  • Unplug the AC adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Plug the AC adapter back in and try to restart the laptop.

Step 4: Check Hard Drive and OS Installation

  • If the issue persists, it might be related to a failed hard drive or missing/corrupt operating system. You may need to replace the hard drive or reinstall the operating system.
  • Use HP Support Assistant or manual methods to check for any hard drive errors or OS issues.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
