My Hp laptop is not charging and on since last weeks now

My Hp laptop suddenly stopped charging and didn’t on since past weeks now. The repairer said it’s the board that caused it , please I don’t understand what caused the board to stop working ?

1. Since when are you facing this issue

2. Have you made any changes on your PC post that this issue raised 

3. May I know if you have observed any error code lights blinking

Do you see the charging light next to the charging port?
