My battery says it's at 100% but dies when unplugged

Hiya. To use my laptop it has to be plugged into the charger at all times otherwise it will not turn on. I dropped it a few months ago and from then it has deteriorated. Is there anyway to fix this? I have run the test by pressing F2 at start up, and it's passed that. I have calibrated it also and that doesn't do anything. I can't seem to find a replacement battery, and have gone through HP support lots of times.

@janebrown

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer shuts down as soon as you unplug the charger.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the chipset driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
