My chrome OS on my chromebook won't recover anymore.

My Chromebook has been working for some time now, until a few weeks ago, where I started to notice the Chrome OS kept becoming "Missing or damaged". It broke once, then recovered through a USB, to which it broke again a few days later. Recently, the Chrome OS has continued breaking twice a night. Last night it broke three times before I went to recover it, all using the same USB. When I tried to recover it, an error came up. I tried it again and a few times after, and it continued to show the error message. I looked on the recovery page and tried to reinstall the chrome OS recover utility to the USB, and it still failed to work. I do not use this laptop to run difficult things, but simple things, like Netflix and Youtube. Can anybody help me with my current issue?
