Hello my pc  Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-e0000. I turned off my computer and when I tried to turn it back on only the keyboard and power button turned on. The fan did not spin and no image appeared on the screen. What should I do?

Hi @Umutlow,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Victus gaming laptop is experiencing issues where the fan is not spinning, and there is no display on the screen despite the keyboard and power button lighting up, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Disconnect the laptop from any external power source.
    • Remove the laptop battery if possible.
    • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
    • Reconnect the battery (if removed) and the power source.
    • Turn on the laptop.
  2. Check Power Source:

    • Ensure that the laptop is connected to a working power outlet.
    • If you are using a power strip or surge protector, try connecting the laptop directly to a wall outlet.
  3. External Display:

    • Connect the laptop to an external monitor or TV using the appropriate cable.
    • If the external display shows the image, it could indicate an issue with the laptop's built-in display.
  4. RAM Reseating:

    • Power off the laptop and disconnect it from any power source.
    • If you are comfortable doing so, open the back panel to access the RAM modules.
    • Carefully remove and then reseat the RAM modules.
    • Power on the laptop and check if the issue is resolved.
  5. BIOS/UEFI Update:

    • Check the HP website for any available BIOS/UEFI updates for your laptop model.
    • Follow the manufacturer's instructions to update the BIOS/UEFI firmware.
  6. Hardware Diagnostics:

    • Many HP laptops come with built-in diagnostics tools. You can access these by pressing a specific key during the startup process (usually ESC or F2).
    • Run a comprehensive hardware diagnostic to check for any issues with components like the CPU, GPU, and memory.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
