@Andrea1810, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding "Boot Device Not Found" error

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

A "Boot Device Not Found" error typically indicates that your computer is not able to locate the operating system on your hard drive. Here are some steps you might try to resolve the issue:

Check BIOS/UEFI Settings:

  • Restart your computer.
  • As it starts, repeatedly press the Esc, F10, or Del key (depends on your manufacturer) to enter the BIOS/UEFI setup.
  • Check to ensure that your hard drive is being recognized. It might be listed under "Boot" or "Boot Order".

Check Boot Order:

  • Inside the BIOS/UEFI, look for the Boot Order section.
  • Ensure that your primary hard drive is listed first in the boot order.

Reseat your Hard Drive:

  • If you're comfortable with opening your computer, try reseating (disconnecting and reconnecting) the hard drive. Ensure your computer is completely powered off and unplugged before doing this.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the computer and remove the battery (if applicable).
  • Disconnect the power adapter and hold down the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect everything and attempt to start the computer again.

Run Hardware Diagnostics:

  • Some HP computers come with a built-in diagnostics tool that you can run by pressing an F key (usually F2 or F3) at startup. This can help determine if there's a hardware issue.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
