Hey @Anelisa24, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query.

We're excited to help you get your laptop back to working condition.

To assist you further with the issue where your laptop switched off during an update, could you please provide the following details:

Update Details: Do you know what specific update was being installed when the laptop shut down? Was it a Windows update, or an update from HP (such as firmware or software)?

Error Messages: Were there any error messages or warnings displayed before or after the shutdown? If so, please share those details.

System Behavior: What happens when you try to power the laptop back on? Are there any signs of life, such as lights turning on, sounds, or the screen flickering?

Recovery Options: Have you attempted any recovery options, like booting into Safe Mode or using the System Restore or Recovery Manager?

Power Supply: Can you confirm if the laptop was plugged into a power source during the update, and whether the battery was fully charged?

Once we have this information, we’ll be in a better position to guide you through the next steps to resolve the issue!

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Garp_Senchau
