@REALOJ, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13t-aw000 laptop can't find the camera, here are the most effective steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
Check Device Manager
- Right-click Start > Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging devices, Cameras, or Sound, video and game controllers.
- Do you see something like HP Wide Vision HD Camera or Integrated Camera?
If not:
Click View > Show hidden devices.
Run Windows Camera Troubleshooter
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
- Scroll down and click Run next to Camera.
Re-enable Camera in BIOS
- Restart the laptop and press Esc repeatedly on startup to access the Startup Menu.
- Press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to the Advanced tab (may vary slightly) and look for an option like Built-in Device Options or Camera.
- Make sure the camera is enabled.
- Save and exit BIOS (F10 to save).
Install/Update Camera Drivers
- Go to HP official support page.
- Search for HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13t-aw000.
- Download and install the latest Camera or Imaging drivers.
- Alternatively, go to Device Manager, right-click the camera (if found), and choose Update driver > Search automatically.
Reset Camera Permissions
- Press Windows + I > Privacy & security > Camera.
- Make sure:
- Camera access is ON.
- Let apps access your camera is ON.
- Scroll down and enable access for apps like Camera, Zoom, Teams, etc.
Check Windows Updates
Sometimes the camera driver comes through Windows Update.
- Go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Install everything available and restart.
If the camera still doesn’t appear in Device Manager, even with hidden devices shown, then:
It might be a hardware issue or the camera cable is loose or damaged inside the chassis. We then suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United States | HP® Support
(Select the country from the dropdown menu and enter the city name or pincode)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
