15s du1034tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought  HP 15s du1034tu 2 weeks back. Before this I had been using HP 15-r204tx for 4-5 years. The old laptop was running all fine and smooth, but I thought maybe buy a new one.

Now this new one i.e 15s du1034tu is so bad. It keeps lagging everytime. I even turned off animations. The response time between clicking and action being performed is big. When I try to just open an excel or word file or even just chrome, while unzipping a folder in back, nothing will open until i close the unzipping process.  There are many more so issues.

I was fed up of this laptop in just 1 week.  But I did not know it would get so bad.

They should not have put Windows 10 on such a weak hardware. My old laptop, which has almost the same specs, just an old gen cpu as compared to new, runs so smooth on WIndows 8.1.  (i5 10th  gen vs i5 5th gen, ram is the same)

Any suggestion guys? Do I have a faulty piece by chance?

I am back to using my old laptop and just feel this new laptop is dumb. I feel like throwing it away.  I dont think I can trust HP anymore.
