@Monika3188, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Based on the Recovery screen with error code 0xc0000001, the issue is not just a random shutdown—it indicates a critical boot failure, likely due to corrupted system files or hardware issues.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help the customer recover their system:

Option 1: Use HP Recovery Environment (F11)

  1. Turn off the PC completely.
  2. Turn it back on and immediately press F11 repeatedly until the HP Recovery Manager or Windows Recovery Environment opens.
  3. Choose:
    • Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair
    • If that fails, go to Command Prompt and run:chkdsk /f /r C: sfc /scannow
  4. Restart and check if the issue is resolved.

Option 2: Use Windows Installation Media

If F11 doesn’t work:

  1. On another PC, download the Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft:
    https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
  2. Create a bootable USB drive.
  3. Insert it into the affected PC and boot from USB (press Esc or F9 at startup to select boot device).
  4. Choose:
    • Repair your computer > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options
    • Try Startup Repair, or use System Restore if available.

Option 3: HP Cloud Recovery Tool (for HP PCs)

If the above fails, use HP’s official recovery tool:

Additional Tips:

  • If the issue persists, check for hardware issues (RAM, SSD).
  • You can run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics by pressing Esc > F2 at startup.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
