Hello HP Support Team,

I own an HP OMEN X 17-ap000 laptop gtx 1080 8gb Gaming laptop

  • Serial Number: 5CD8021G8P

  • Product ID: 1PN85AV

I need the official recovery media / recovery tool to restore my system to its original factory state with Windows 10 Home (the version it was shipped with).

When I enter the Product ID in the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, it does not recognize my system. That’s why I am requesting direct help from HP to provide me with the recovery files or the correct procedure to obtain them.

Could you please guide me on how I can get the recovery media or provide the download link/order option?

Hi:

 

HP withdraws support for the cloud recovery tool once the PC reaches 5 years of age which is why you are getting that error.

 

HP does not sell recovery media for your notebook.

 

Your only option to reinstall W10 would be to make a bootable USB installation flash drive with the media creation tool from the link below:

 

Download Windows 10

 

After W10 has completed installing you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page:
