Pavilion 17-e071nr Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Original HD failed w/ 301 error code.

Need to order Win 10 64-bit PC Recovery  Kit (USB or CD/DVD) for HP Pavilion 17-e071nr Notebook PC to reinstall Windows 10 OS and all required drivers for this HP Notebook PC.

Do not see available on HP Support page for HP Pavilion 17-e071nr Notebook PC; only see drivers available for download there.

How/where may I order HP Recovery Kit for this HP PC?

Thank you,

John

@BluePaladin

You need to contact HP Customer Service:

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: After you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to some one -- it can take a while!

If you have trouble finding a phone number, then try: 1 (650) 857-1501.

If HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, another site you can check is: http://www.computersurgeons.com

When you get the media, if it is a USB stick, insert it into your PC, pressing F9 to get a Boot menu, then select the External USB Hard Drive to boot from it.

Hi, @BluePaladin

Your notebook originally came with W8 64 bit, so HP will only have W8 recovery media available.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03805659

You can make your own bootable W10 USB installation flash drive by using the Media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

When you get to the part of the installation script where you are asked to enter a product key, select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically activate once you are connected to the internet.
