Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on to run diagnostics.
Do not allow any updates if disk or memory fail, especially a BIOS update.
It is always dangerous to upgrade bios. Unless there is a real need and the HP support assistant requests the upgrade, I would not do it.
Please provide the Product ID or exact model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol. This code may be needed to find cloud recovery files.

Sorry, I did not see the 241 G1.
It seems you have the latest BIOS already.
The HP site actually shows only an older bios F.31

Is there a problem with the system?

Have you run diagnostics?
Tap the ESC key after powering on. . Tap it once a second after you see the LEDs on the keyboard flash. When you see the startup menu, press F2 to run diagnostics.
if you can pass diagnostics then windows should load.
Windows shows loading with that circle and it freezes or keeps circling but never loads?\
Try booting into windows safe mode
Since Windows cannot start then you need to enter Windows safe mode from outside of Windows
First read this article about safe mode. Skip down to 'Enter safe mode from outside windows. If F11 does not get you into system recovery then try turning the power on and off three or more times in a row. Alternately, put the USB flash with windows 10 back in and select repair, then chose safe mode.
the SSD and win10 should run ok on your 241 G2
I have it on even older systems.

Since this was a failed install of 10 then there are no restore points to recover to.
if you cannot boot into windows safe mode then try another install. Use windows 11
Unless I am mistaken, your laptop has a UEFI bios. Go into the BIOS and press f9 to set defaults.
If BIOS has secure boot option then enable it. Use you 8tb drive and configure win11 as follows
Windows 11 can be easily installed on just about any windows 7, 8 or 10 system as an upgrade or clean.
I have run it on some really old HP systems with no problem.
For a new system that has UEFI bios and GPT but does not meet all requirements,
Windows 11 can be installed using the Rufus trick.
Get Rufus here
Download Windows 11 with this link and use an 8gb or larger USB.
Windows 11 does not expire and Microsoft just leaves an activation reminder on the screen.
Otherwise use the windows 10 license to active.
Configure Rufus to use UEFI boot and select the option that creates a local account
so as to avoid the Microsoft email login. Use options shown below:
Uncheck the "Set regional options" if you are creating the USB on another system that has a different OS than yours.
Do not install 11 Pro if you are licensed for 10 Home.
Boot the USB and allow win11 to remove any existing partitions.
You have to click "start" before those options show up.
Let me know if you need more help
