HP Recommended

Need recovery key and update. Warranty expired in February. It’s a HP 17-cp2000.

I understand your concern that you are looking for the recovery key and update for your PC. 

 

Could you please confirm the exact model number of your PC? 

 

 Also, when you mention a recovery key, are you referring to:

 

  1. The Windows BitLocker recovery key (used to unlock your drive if encryption is enabled)
  2. The Windows product key (used for activation of the operating system)

Each of these is different, and knowing which one you need will help us provide the most accurate steps.

 

In the meantime, updates for your system can usually be found through HP Support Assistant or directly on the HP drivers and downloads page https://support.hp.com/  for your model.
