Omen 15t ek000 Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So let me jsut say I loved my old omen and love my new one too which is a massive upgrade. When it works that is but recentily only within about a week or two of owning it I begun to suffer from BSOD after both transferring my data from my old omen through PCmover and upgrading to windows 10 2004. They were all Whea_uncorrectable_errors and even when I posted on microsoft forms they were unable to figure it out even with the event logs for system and applications I gave them. Eventuly I decided to downgrade from 2004 partly because it seemed like a lot of otehr people were having similar issues when I looked at tech forums and that stopped the whea_uncorrectable_errors but started giving critical_process_died errors. Please offer the help that you can

@runefar

MS is still having issues with the 20.04 Upgrade -- although NOW, they have claimed to fix most of them.  But, they have been BLOCKING the Upgrade for PCs that present hardware or drive issues.

If you did your Upgrade using the MS tool, then you FORCED it, and that was the problem.

If you can not NOW do a rollback, then you would have to restore your PC from scratch using HP Recovery Media and MS no longer provides any means of reinstalling the older Win10 version 10.09.

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.

The recovery drive can then be used to install Win10 and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.
