Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a notebook HP ProBook 470 G1 and it appears there is no recovery manager installed so F11 doesn't work. The computer is from my previously company as they were selling them off so I do not have a disc as I had to wipe it out. Is it a way how to obtain a recovery manager or a disc with system. I have a DELL operational system with Windows 7 but not sure how compatible it is.

Hi,

If you wish, you can clean install Windows 7 64 bit using HP expert Paul Tikkanen's suggestion given in the following thread, provided you're able to clearly read all 25 characters of product activation key in the COA sticker on the back of your laptop:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/want-windows-7-back/td-p/592555...

Download the exact edition of Windows 7 64 bit that came, whose activation key is printed on COA sticker.

Additional drivers from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-probook-470-g1-notebook-pc/5405414

Hello @And2015

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.

F11 (recovery partition) is not expected on this PC. This is business class model and companies usually use their own custom built images with Windows. Things like F11 are not used in medium/corporate size businesses.

I believe the PC never arrived with Windows preinstalled so there is no way to obtain such discs from HP. The company used their Windows images/licenses.

You should buy your own copy/license of Windows - e.g. from a retailer or online from MS Store https://www.microsoftstore.com

Windows 10 ISO images can be obtained from > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-windows-10
