@q1zuk, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Your HP Victus 15 (GTX 1650, i5-12450H, 16GB RAM) should ideally have Performance Mode in OMEN Gaming Hub and High Performance Mode in power plans. However, some models, especially those with GTX 1650 and lower-tier configurations, may lack full OMEN Gaming Hub features that are present in high-end OMEN or RTX-based Victus models.

🔎 Possible Reasons & Fixes:

1️⃣ OMEN Gaming Hub Performance Mode Missing

  1. Not all Victus models support Performance Mode in OMEN Gaming Hub.
  2. Your GTX 1650 variant likely lacks a MUX switch (only some RTX models have it).
  3. Fix: Check if OMEN Gaming Hub is fully updated via Microsoft Store.

2️⃣ No High-Performance Power Plan

Windows 11 has hidden power plans in some cases. You can enable Ultimate Performance Mode manually.

🛠 Enable High-Performance Mode:

1. Run Command Prompt as Admin.

2. Paste this and press Enter:

  1. powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

3. Go to Control Panel > Power Options and select Ultimate Performance.

3️⃣ Check for BIOS & Drivers Updates

  • Go to HP Support Assistant and check for BIOS updates.
  • Update Intel and NVIDIA drivers using:
  1. Intel Driver & Support Assistant
  2. NVIDIA GeForce Experience.

4️⃣ Force Dedicated GPU for Games

  • Since there’s no MUX switch, the laptop dynamically switches between iGPU (Intel UHD) and dGPU (GTX 1650).
  • To ensure games run on GTX 1650:
  1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel.
  2. Go to Manage 3D Settings > Preferred Graphics Processor.
  3. Set to High-Performance NVIDIA Processor.

💡 Final Thoughts:

  • Your Victus 15 (GTX 1650 variant) is a budget gaming laptop, so some premium OMEN features like MUX switch and Performance Mode might not be included.
  • Enabling Ultimate Performance Mode and setting NVIDIA GPU for games should improve gaming performance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
