Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Windows 11 crashed my hard drive within 1day. I lost everything and can’t pay $100 to get back my operating system. Help. I don’t have an installation disk anymore. What can I do? Thanks.

Hi:

 

See if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool:

 

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

 

If not, you can make a bootable USB installer with the W11 media creation tool from the link below (2nd option) and install W11 for free.

 

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

 

After W11 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

Naturally, you will need to use another PC to use the cloud recovery tool or the Microsoft download.
