I've been unable to use my Chromebook at all. Everytime I log in, my laptop will sign me out within minutes. I'm unable to download anything via the Google Play store and I'm unable to download any documents when using Google Chrome. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm very disappointed as this is a brand new laptop.

Google Play Store is designed for the Android OS; Chromebooks use the Chrome OS.  These are not the same.
