Pavilion DV7-6B53ER
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

A service center has recently replaced a motherboard in my 8-year old HP Pavilion DV7-6B53ER notebook, and the OEM license for Windows 7 that was tied to the old motherboard is not valid anymore. I'd gladly buy a retail version of Win7 but it seems stores don't carry it anymore, there's only Win10.

Installing Win10 is NOT an option: I've already bought it,  tried to install and it turned out that the built-in video controller (Intel HD Graphics 3000 Series) is not compatible with Win10; Intel itself openly admits so on their website.

To make the situation even worse, I now have a countdown counter on the System Properties screen that says that I've got only 26 days left (today is June 23, 2019) to activate my copy of Windows but the old license number that I've got is not for this new motherboard...

In short, Win10 won't work, the recovery USB stick prepared with the old MB won't work, there's no retail version of Win7 available anymore --- so what are my options? I mean, apart from switching to, say, Solaris, Linux distros, etc... Please advise.
