OMEN 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-b0000 (2W6B5AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop crashes randomly and frequently when gaming. It throws Event code 41, Kernel-Power every time it crashes.

Drivers are up to date. Tried about everything online to fix it and cannot figure out the problem. The laptop is basically new and has little use on it.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your OMEN 16.1 Inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-B0000 throws Event code 41, Kernel-Power every time it crashes. And you have updated all drivers as well , I am glad to assist you.

The Kernel Power Error 41 may occur due to an underpowered or faulty power supply problem. You need to make sure that your system has sufficient wattage to handle the installed devices appropriately.

May I know if you are using the original charger shipped with the PC?

Meantime, please try these steps.

Step 1: Update all your available drivers, you may skip to step two if you have already done the step 1.

Step 2: Change your power settings

  • Type power settings in the search box from the Start menu. Then click Power & sleep settings.
