HP Pavilion x360 - 14-cd0105tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, does anybody know how to get the original Windows installer for this model? I have tried the installer from Microsoft and laptop just keeps looping from HP Logo and some minutes passed to a Windows BSOD PnP Watch Dog. But if you install Windows 10 x86 it completes and usable only downside all windows default drivers as the drivers available for my unit is for Windows x64. Tried Windows 11 also installs completely no issues, but a bit sluggish and no drivers as this laptop has no windows 11 drivers.

Hi @RafaelYu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

You're right to be cautious; installing the wrong version of Windows or missing drivers can lead to frustrating issues like BSODs (especially PnP Watchdog errors) and sluggish performance. Let’s get your HP Pavilion x360 - 14-cd0105tu back to its original, stable state with the correct installer and drivers.

Best Way to Get the Original Windows Installer for Your HP Pavilion x360

The recommended solution is to use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool, which downloads the factory image (Windows 10 x64) along with all original drivers and software.

🔧 Steps to Use HP Cloud Recovery Tool

  1. On another working PC, download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool: 👉 HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support
  2. Prepare a USB drive (at least 32GB, formatted to FAT32).
  3. Run the tool and enter your product ID:
For your model, it’s likely: 4QK27PA
You can confirm by pressing Fn + Esc on your laptop to open HP System Info.
  4. The tool will download the correct Windows 10 x64 recovery image and create a bootable USB.
  5. Plug the USB into your Pavilion x360 and boot from it:
    • Turn on the laptop and press Esc repeatedly, then choose Boot Menu (F9).
    • Select the USB drive and follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
