Product: HP 15-r000 TouchSmart Notebook PC series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I sent my laptop HP 15-r000 TouchSmart Notebook PC series to computer workshop, unfortunately he erased the contents including original windows restoration. He installed unofficial license. How can i retrieve the windows restoration, from where i can get the product key. Thanx

Hi:

 

Use the free utility that I zipped up and attached below, that will show you the windows product key in the BIOS, as well as the version of Windows it is good for.

 

Post the OEM version of Windows the key is good for, and I should be able to provide instructions for you to reinstall the correct licensed version of W8.1 the product key is good for.

 

Don't post the product key itself...just what the other info is.

 

For example, this is what my showkey plus report shows for the version of Windows that came with my PC...

 

OEM Edition: Win 8.1 RTM Professional OEM:DM

ShowKeyPlus1.0.7060.zip

Thanks ... How can i post OEM windows 8.1 as per the show plus, how can i do windows restoration?

You're very welcome.

 

Save the file as a text file.  Open it up in notepad and you can copy and paste the OEM version of Windows the report shows.

 

You can't copy and paste it directly from the report window.
