I need to get my screen in working condition again, its broken. The laptop description on hp site http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02981966 states that the screen is a "15.6" diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366 x 768)".   I could not find a way to find the correct part number for this screen, can anyone help me to buy the correct screen that fits my laptop, thanks?  Will any HP screen with the same resolution 1366x768 and technology (LED HD Brightview) work, or are 15.6" screens for different HP laptop families (e.g, Envy, g6, Pavilion, PRO, etc.) all different to each other (for example, due to the location and type of connectors or mounting screws etc.)?   Thank you!

Hi,

The first manual of the following link will tell your part # of the screen:

   http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&document=&product=5173797

You also can find part number of your machine using the following sites:

   http://h20141.www2.hp.com/hpparts/?cc=US&lang=EN&jumpid=hpr_r1002_usen
   http://partsurfer.hp.com/

The product specification page for your notebook is a great reference to use when selecting a replacement screen or LCD display assembly.
