HP Pavilion x360 13t Touch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Each time I use my laptop, the OS seems to take over - the screen blinks on and off rapidly, dots appear on the screen in a column as if someone is touching the screen (these always appear about an an inch to the right of the Start button.  This has happened in several different applications (Chrome, IE, MS Excel, Word) and just with the desktop showing. Rebooting does help sometimes, but not always. I'm not getting any error messages.

I use an external mouse so have turned off the touchpad.  Any thoughts?  Do you think reinstalling Windows 10 will help?  I did not get a DVD with my laptop so do not know how to reinstall.  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hi @KathyB3023

Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum. Welcome onboard !

You can try to reinstall Windows and eventually update drivers in trying to fix this issue.

Your notebook device did not come with a DVD or USB recovery media for Windows as it has recovery partitions built-in (on the HDD) which can be used to restore your PC to its original factory default condition.

1. Here is info how to perform recovery/reinstall >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00006110

2. Once you complete recovery and Windows is reinstalled, check this article:

Ensure your video card/graphic card drivers are updated, all major drivers are updated and that Windows is also updated.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes and do not hesitate to post back.

This seems to have worked! I was worried for a bit when Win10 started to reinstall and those dots appeared, but they seem to be gone. I'll post again if the issue returns.
