HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp112dx

My HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp012dx will no longer turn on because the power button has stopped responding.  Basically, it feels like the button no longer "pushes".  The laptop was a purchased only a little over a year ago for school and it is now useless.   For this model, the power button is on the side of the case and it never had all that much push to it.  (You only really had to tap it for it to turn on.)

 

I just lost my job and need it to be able to apply to new jobs. I can't afford a new laptop. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I reviewed your post and I understand that the power button is not working on the computer.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Do you see any lights on the computer?

 

I recommend you contact support and they will assist you in this regard.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Hello thank you for your response. I only see a light showing the charger is going in. Its a white light. This is the only light I see. I cannot get into my serial number because this model doesn't have easy access to the inside. Does HP offer in store help?

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you
