@Ameeretpa, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I'm sorry to hear your HP laptop isn’t powering on. Let’s walk through a few steps to help you get it working again.

Check the Power Source

  • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working wall outlet.
  • Try a different outlet or power strip.
  • If available, test with another compatible HP charger.

Look for LED Indicators

  • Check if any lights turn on (near the charging port, power button, or keyboard).
  • If no lights are visible, the battery or adapter may be faulty.

Perform a Hard Reset

This helps clear any residual power and reset hardware connections:

  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try powering on.

Try a BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

If the laptop shows a black screen but the power light is on:

  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  • Release all keys and wait to see if the BIOS recovery screen appears.

Check for Beep Codes or Blinking LEDs

If you hear beeps or see blinking lights, they may indicate a hardware issue. You can refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Computer beeps or a light blinks during startup | undefined

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
