Pavilion dv7-6c90us Entertainment PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
I have notebook Pavilion dv7-6c90us Entertainment PC.
And I have in this notebook a problem with one USB-controler definition and its driver, which blocks the upgrade to Windows 2004.
If to remove the failed device, it appears again after the update as undefined device.
Could you please help me?

Best regards,
Andrey [Personal Information Removed]

@Sukhobokov Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with the USB-controller definition and its driver.

Please uninstall the USB host controller on the device manager and restart the computer.

Try updating the computer, this will install the latest updates -

Step 1 Windows Updates -

1) In the search box, type, and open Windows Updates.

2) Check for updates.

3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Step 2 Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type, and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.
