If you're unable to get past the login screen on your HP TouchSmart laptop and there's no power/reset icon, you might be able to reset it to factory settings using the following methods:

1. **Use HP Recovery Manager**:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it back on and immediately press the **F11** key repeatedly until the **HP Recovery Manager** screen appears.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a factory reset.

2. Use Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens.
- Press F11to enter the System Recovery option.
- Choose **Troubleshoot > Reset this PC** and follow the prompts to reset the laptop to factory settings.

3. **Check for a Recovery Partition
- Some HP laptops have a hidden recovery partition. Restart the laptop and press the F11 key as soon as it starts up. This should bring up the recovery options.

4. **Contact HP Support
- If none of the above methods work, you may need to contact HP Support for further assistance. They can guide you through more advanced recovery options or help with the recovery media if you need to reinstall Windows from scratch.

Hopefully, one of these methods will help you reset the laptop and get it up and running!
