HP Laptop PC 15-dw3000 (1A3Y7AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

good evening, the day before yesterday a laptop was purchased, hp 15 dw3716nia.

With 4 browser tabs open, 3.7-3.9 GB of RAM is consumed.

How can this be fixed?

@andre26_01,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Bear with me for second.  Your HP Laptop PC 15-Dw3000 (1A3Y7AV), according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laptop-pc-15-dw3000/37506289/model/2100000419/document/c0706..., and: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=1A3Y7AV, is cross-referenced with HP Laptop 15s-du3019TX.

As far as I can tell, and checking here: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/hp-15-dw3000?gclid=CjwKCAiAqaWdBhAvEiwAGA..., your laptop can be fitted with up to 2 x 32GB of DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, SODIMM, 260-pin RAM sticks -not that you would that much RAM.

The point I want to make is, if your total RAM is only 4GB, you can fix your issue by increasing your RAM to at least 2 x 4GB, preferably 2 x 8GB RAM in order to avoid your RAM being consumed, as you said, with internet browser traffic/RAM consumption.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
