Hello,

Has there been any update on this issue? I am having the same issue as the OP. My laptop is unable to enter sleep mode after the F.19 BIOS update. I've even tried rolling back the BIOS, but it seems to be blocked.

@thewzrd,

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

I see that your experiencing TPM cannot be found issue with HP Envy notebook,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824 (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Are you getting an error message while entering sleep mode?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
    What is the operating system?

While you respond to that, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Let's try this steps:

  1. Click Start , click Control Panel, and then click Hardware and Sound.

  2. In the Power Options section, click Change what the power buttons do.

Figure: Changing what the power buttons do

Image of the Power Options screen selecting change what the power buttons do
  3. In the Power and sleep button settings area, click When I press the power button and select one of the following options:

    • Do nothing

    • Sleep

    • Hibernate

    • Shut down

Figure: Change the power button behavior

  4. Click Save changes, and close the Power Options and Control Panel windows.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi,

  • I have a HP Envy m6-p113dx model
  • I don't get any error message when entering sleep mode. It's like the laptop gets stuck when trying to go into sleep mode. The display turns off and the hard drive status light is off but the fan is still running. The power is also stays on when trying to go into sleep mode. The power button doesn't blink like it usually would when it would be in sleep mode.
  • I don't remember the exact time this started happenning but I think a month or two ago.
  • I'm using Windows 10
  • I tried the suggested steps and it's still the same

Thanks
