Hi,

I had the same prob;em with my HP Probook 4540s regarding the base system device 

I have installed the SoftPaq yet the drivers were not installed !

please help

Hi:

 

You need this driver...

 

JMicron Media Card Reader

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63501-64000/sp63637.exe

 

Now, if after running the above driver does not install the devices, you should be able to manually install them as follows.

 

Go to the device manager.  Click on the 1st base system device shown in your screenshot.

 

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.   Select the Browse my computer for driver software option, and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

 

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp63637.  Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install.   Then repeat the same process for the remaining Base System Device.
