Hello, would it be possible to post the link, if one exists, to the recovery media for the 15-f009wm notebook?

Thank you, I appreciate it. I've downloaded the W8.1 iso and used Rufus to make a bootable usb drive from it, but I'm not sure I used the right settings. I set it to MBR and NTFS. My laptop is stuck on the "We couldn't complete the updates, undoing changes" message. I read that you can fix the problem by going into the recovery screen by hitting F11, going to safe mode from there, and deleting the most recent updates. The problem is, hitting F11 doesn't take me to the recovery screen. It has no effect at all. Will the W8.1 usb drive I've made allow me to do that? It seems like an easier solution than reinstalling Windows.

You're very welcome.
You can try the various repair options when you get to the Install Now screen.
On the lower left corner of that screen is a 'Repair your computer' option.
There are various repair tools you can try.
Other that that or reinstalling W8.1, I don't have any other suggestions you can try.
